ARTIST BIO

Harvest Sons is like that pair of old washed out jeans you put on that are a bit faded from use but still look great when you wear them. The ones perfect for a night out on the town, but still hold up at a nice family dinner. Harvest Sons recreate this feeling through their nostalgia-infused blend of folk, rock and Americana, and transport you into their rust belt state of mind. Harvest Sons is based out of Peoria, Illinois.

RUST BELT STATE OF MIND

Harvest Sons have been hitting Midwest back roads for years, turning ears throughout Central Illinois and beyond. Supporting artists like Kevin Costner and Modern West, Anderson East, Honeysuckle and Way Down Wanderers along the way. Harvest Sons have been crafting songs from a Rust Belt state of mind, or so says front man, Seth Samuelson Cocquit since 2016.

Americana Highways called Harvest Sons’ 2019 release Flat Black Sessions, Volume 2 “a solid Rust Belt Americana EP”, a Live recording made at Flat Black Studios in Lone Tree, Iowa.

The Music -
“Call it what you want… Rust Belt Americana, Black Dirt Country, call it authentic. The musical equivalent of driving home from work on a gravel road in your pickup truck, this is real music. Harvest Sons is one of those bands whose music sounds familiar the first time you hear it and gets better with each listening.” - Jerry Kolb, Producer and Founder of WTVP’s State & Water (PBS Peoria)

QUOTES

“Their original work is inspired and I have a solid gut feeling we will hear a LOT more from these talented musicians on bigger stages.

Every song unfolds in an interesting manner, unique and different from the last. Rich, tight harmonies fill out the sonic landscape.”

“Harvest Sons are in my opinion the epitome of Americana music. Their soulful and honest sound is a reflection of the kind of people they are. Truly beautiful.”
